Amazon kicked off their Prime Day, and it’s bigger and better than ever before! Let’s get right to the great finds!

Everybody’s favorite pot–or the pot you wish you had has been greatly reduced. Check out this amazing price on the one and only Instant Pot. A 7-in-1 appliance, the Instant Pot is a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, saute(r), yogurt maker, and warmer! And it’s going for $58.99. Hurry, hurry, hurry and get this!

Over the past year I have fallen in love with my fitness device–Fitbit Alta HR, and they have an amazing price on it–$89.95 shipped! If you are looking for help with your fitness goals, this might just be the thing!

I love cast-iron cooking, and nothing beats an old-fashioned Dutch oven for making a roast or a large pot of stew. AmazonBasics has this pre-seasoned 5-quart Dutch over with dual handles for $22.49!

I absolutely love Larabars! And Amazon is running a heck of a deal on the peanut butter chocolate chip flavor, which is quite yum!

Now for my favorite coupon deal–$5 off of any order of $20 book purchase. And here’s a book I was checking out just today at the grocery store–Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering by Joanna Gaines. If you’re a fan of the Gaineses, then snatch a copy for yourself or a friend.

Okay, friends, that’s all for tonight. Tomorrow we’ll get an early start and see what we can find!

Sunday Before Prime Day Bargains

It’s the Sunday before Prime Day, and I’m pretty well staying put–except that I need to do some watering and feed some hens. Other than that, it’s a laptop kind of day. As we’re within inches of the big Prime Day (and a half), here are a few more bargains to wet your appetite.

Fall is just around the corner–I know, you probably don’t want to hear it, but it’s true! Today Prime deals is running a 40% off sale on activewear, but you need to hurry. Sale runs today only!

Just in time for back to school. Do you remember the 64-count box of Crayola Crayons? I do! And the fact that this has caught my attention and I have no children to buy for makes me think I might be regressing a little. But I love this deal! And I’m always a sucker for nice tin–which Crayola has included to celebrate their 60th Anniversary! Now maybe I just need a coloring book to go with them!

I have this issue. I keep staring at this throw pillow. In fact, I’ve been stalking it for days now. I really like it. See what you think. Oh, and it also comes in red and blue, too.

I know a couple of little guys who shall remain nameless who absolutely love Paw Patrol. I can just picture this in their room, and knowing their mom, she’d have the bookshelf part of it stocked with her boys’ favorites!

Prime Day Countdown Finds

It’s summer. It’s the weekend. You’re busy. I’m busy. So let’s get to it. Deals counting down to Prime Day (and a half)!

Along the lines of self-care and nutrition, Amazing Grass is running a good deal on their Green Superfood, but hurry! It only lasts today. (Ahem, attention, Mom. . . )

File this under “I want one!” It’s the Coffee Boy All-in-One Coffee Maker by Equinox, with Portable and Rechargeable Ceramic Grinder, Long Lasting Battery Life, Pour Over Drip Coffee. So you grind your beans, add hot water like you do pour-over coffee, and wham-bam you’ve got yourself a cup of coffee. Great for camping out or for use as a travel mug. I can even see this as something I’d use at home, too.

Fingerlings–have you seen these? Very cute. These have made appearances on my nieces’ birthday lists. And, you know, it’s never too early to start shopping for Christmas. There, I said it, the “C” word. But think of it this way, you can be super prepared ahead of the mall or online rush!

For those of you suffering from Vitamix envy, Amazon is offering a great discount. So if you’ve got a chunk of change you’ve been saving up for one of these beauties, now might be just the time with a discount of more than $40!

If you love to listen to a good book like I do, here’s a real treat. The perfect classic–A Room With a View by E. M. Forster, narrated by Rebecca Hall. Yes, I’m adding something else to the “Please get me one!” list. Which is pretty much the same as the “I want one!” file, but why split hairs?

Okay, that’s what caught my eye today. Check back tomorrow for more good stuff!

What is Amazon Prime?

The short answer is that Amazon Prime is a yearly subscription service that gets customers free one- and two-day shipping on most items, e-books, music, video streaming, and special rates for Amazon services. But a Prime membership has so much more to offer! Access to the Kindle lending library, a free e-book each month, unlimited photo storage in Amazon Cloud Drive, unlimited and ad-free access to hundreds of Prime Playlists with Prime Music as well as free games with Prime.

Right now Amazon is offering a 30-day free trail, and after that an annual subscription rate is $119. For two- and four-year college students, Amazon offers a six-month free trial with many of the same perks as a regular membership. After that, their annual rate for membership is $59. A great gift for students heading off to college next month!

Why I Like Amazon Prime

I’ve been a customer of Amazon’s since 1998–yes, 20 years! Back then they were mostly a bookstore, and with no library system in our county (and still none, but hopefully that will change soon) I ordered a lot of books from Amazon. (Still do.) Back then I remember purchasing children’s books for my daughter and novels and how-to writing books. Over the years, Amazon has exploded with growth, and once or twice a month we “make an Amazon order,” more often as Christmas approaches. But don’t even get me started about Christmas and Amazon packages. The UPS guy is here so often in December I start to get him confused with family members!

We decided a couple of years ago to spring for Prime after Emily talked us into it. She had the student membership back then, and she convinced me that for the free (and fast) shipping alone the price of a membership was worth it. I consider it the main benefit for my membership. But I’m also a fan of the Kindle lending library and the free monthly e-book. I also like Prime Music and the wide assortment of playlists–again, particularly around Christmas time when I love playing music. Mike watches Prime Video, and I’ve been known to watch a few shows myself. To be honest, there are so many benefits that I don’t have time to take advantage of them all, but the price of the membership more than covers the cost of the benefits I regularly use.

The Fun Begins. . .

July 16 at 3:00 EST and runs through July 17, for a total of 36 hours! Tune in daily for updates.
