Affordable Editing Rates!

Manuscript Critique .008 cents per word ($2/pg.*)

We tell you what’s working and what needs work, making comments throughout the manuscript as well as a general evaluation of the manuscript as a whole. We focus on such things as point of view, voice, dialogue, and pacing to give you an overview of your story and offer suggestions for improvement.

Standard Edit  .012 cents per word ($3/pg.*)

Our standard editing service corrects punctuation, spelling, and grammar mistakes along with improper subject/verb agreement, shifts in tense, passive and weak verb construction, and structural problems.

In creative works, we also point out plot and character problems, “telling” instead of “showing,” story arc and pacing problems, as well as other issues, all while preserving your unique voice.

Standard Edit plus Critique .016 ($4/pg.*)

Our standard edit and critique includes all of the above, plus an in-depth critique of the manuscript: What’s working, what needs work, and suggestions for strengthening and improving your manuscript. We focus on such things as point of view, voice, dialogue, and pacing to give you an overview of your story.

Note: *Additional rewrites are considered as new material. One page = 250 words

Other Services

Query Letters — $25

Manuscript Proposals — $75 – $150

Price depends on how much writing we have to do. If the material only needs editing, the price is simply for editing. We find that it’s usually a case of needing both! Proposals can be tricky, but we can help!

Copywriting — $25 per hour

Flex Edit: An affordable solution for having your manuscript edited a little at a time.

We know it’s hard. With so many financial obligations to meet, the idea of having a book-length manuscript edited might seem unaffordable.

So here’s our idea. Send the manuscript to us in smaller chunks. One or two chapters a week or the first fifty pages. Maybe you have to skip a month because funds are tight. No problem! You decide the pace you’d like to work at and the amount of pages to send. The point is to start the process!

Let us help you whip your manuscript into shape in manageable bites. After all, we’re flexible.
